I met Gilliane through a mutual friend at a house party at the Newport Coast. I immediately thought she would be a great model and we discussed plans to shoot in the future. I recently had an engagement shoot for a lovely couple near the Santa Monica Pier. The location up above the beach was perfect, and Nina & Ronnie were so fun-loving and great to photograph. They made my job easy!

A Tropical Winter

I had such a fun shoot last weekend with some talented makeup artists and super fun models for online Skirts & Ties boutique. I've got my work cut out for me with a TON of amazing photos to edit. We went for a tropical theme right smack in the middle of winter... that's the beauty of Southern California, you get a taste of summer all year round. :)

Shine the Light From Within: Part I

I have been aching to do a shoot in the golden hour. Fortunately for me, I had the talented J Cliq as a model.  He was able to create such a beautiful mood through his soulful gaze. The light from the sunset was just incredible... a sight I am blessed with viewing most days as this bay is right down the street from me. Choosing the images to edit was the hardest part, they were all so good. This is part one of the series, more to come.

A pretty kitty was just walking along the fenceline at Balboa Island the other day meowing for some attention. I quickly snapped a couple of pics while I could.

The Golden Days of Summer

I had a really lovely shoot this last summer with model, Katie Wilkinson and her pretty palomino paint horse. She was one of the first models I shot, and I was the first photographer she worked with. We've both grown so much as professionals and I am excited to see where her modeling career will take her; she is quite talented. Be on the lookout for her in future posts.
